Protesters speak out against nuclear power

Munich. To show their disapproval against nuclear power around 700 people formed a human chain in Munich. The campaign acts as preparation for a planned 120 kilometres long human chain on the 24th of April between the two nuclear power plants at Krümmel and Brunsbüttel.

Anti-nuclear power activists assembled in Munich , politicians from SPD and the Grünen joined the protesters forming a huge circle around Marienplatz.

After the disbanding of the chain, the participants were able to gather knowledge from the information booth to assist the upcoming rally on the 24th of April, where activists will demonstrate against the nuclear plans of the black and yellow federal government. A human chain was also organised on saturday in Würzburg, Augsburg and around 50 other cities.
