In a troubling development, wildfires raging across Los Angeles have resulted in five fatalities and pose a significant threat to several of Hollywood's most recognizable landmarks, including the famous Hollywood sign and the star-studded Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, frequented daily by thousands of tourists, is currently under a yellow evacuation alert due to a wildfire that ignited Wednesday afternoon in the Hollywood Hills. The normally bustling area is now eerily quiet, with only a few pedestrians navigating the streets as local businesses--including cafes, theaters, and supermarkets--have closed their doors for safety.

Historic venues such as the TCL Chinese Theatre and the El Capitan Theatre have been evacuated and shut down in light of the fire risk. Nearby, police have set up roadblocks to redirect traffic away from the fire's path, which originated in a wooded area of the Hollywood Hills.

At the summit of Fuller Street, adjacent to Runyon Canyon--an acclaimed hiking destination offering views of the Hollywood sign--a yellow tape has been placed to facilitate access for firefighters battling the flames, which are encroaching on the famed sign itself.

Other notable sites facing evacuation include the Capitol Records building and the Hollywood Bowl, both located within the designated evacuation zone. The Griffith Observatory, made famous by the film "Rebel Without a Cause," also lies in close proximity to the fire. The Los Angeles Zoo, situated within Griffith Park, has temporarily closed its doors due to the ongoing threat.

Numerous Hollywood stars have reported damage or total loss of their homes due to the spread of the wildfires across various neighborhoods surrounding Los Angeles. Notable celebrities residing in Pacific Palisades, such as Jennifer Aniston, Tom Hanks, and Reese Witherspoon, have been affected by the flames.

Actor James Woods expressed his devastation over the destruction of his residence, recounting the chaotic and frightening experience of witnessing homes in his vicinity engulfed in flames. He described the suddenness of the disaster, noting how quickly everything changed from a normal day to one of panic and destruction.

Paris Hilton also shared her distress on social media, highlighting the emotional toll of watching her home in Malibu burn live on television. She noted that such an experience is something that no one should have to endure.

The uncontrollable wave of wildfires surrounding Los Angeles has resulted in significant loss of life and has led to the evacuation of over 100,000 residents, underscoring the severity of the situation.
