The final weekend of October brings summertime to an end. If the crisp morning air hasn't made your eyes sting and if the rouged leaves lining the streets haven't caught your eye, the changing of the clocks will make it official. Summer is over. Bring on snowboarding in the Alps, Christmas markets and Glühwein. And about six months of cold feet, runny noses and slipping in the snow. However, the season brings good concerts and interesting exhibitions - here's a round-up of what Munich has to offer.

Stockport playwright Simon Stephens' dark play Three Kingdoms is showing at the Kammerspiele until mid-November - and has received very positive reviews. The play tells the story of trafficked women, with two police officers traversing borders to find out more about these women.

Italian architect, designer and photographer, Carlo Mollino, is exhibiting in the Haus der Kunst. While you're there, check out New Yorker Ellsworth Kelly's exhibition - his black and white panel art is eye-catching, and the fifty or so images cover his various creative periods from 1948 onwards. Perhaps most interesting at the Haus der Kunst right now are the video works, dealing with youth culture. These fifteen videos portray youth culture from over the past decade in a variety of senses : social conditioning, music, languages. A fascinating exhibition in cooperation with the Goetz collection.

Until 16th November, you have the opportunity to check out the Fotodoks exhibition at the Stadtmuseum. This has become one of the most important photo-reporting exhibitions in Germany and the exhibition displays fascinating photos from reporters around the world.

The Amerikahaus is also showing photos from the wonderful Vivian Maier, the amateur-photographer who passed away two years ago. Her black-and-white portraits of people living in Chicago and New York are intimate depictions of street life back in the fifties and sixties.

On Thursday 27th November, the Uamo Art Festival begins in Munich. The festival is split across nine cities and in each city, local artists have the chance to exhibit their works. The entire event is streamed online here. Nerd Nite has joined forces with Uamo and the discussion this time is social media - "who is your neighbour and does anyone know who you are?". As for music, Munich welcomes raunchy pop-princess Rihanna to the Olympiahalle on Tuesday 25th October. The Bajan beauty's concert has completely sold-out, so if you've managed to get tickets, have fun. There will be a quick turnaround in the Olympiahalle Tuesday night, for Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler arrive on the Wednesday. Dylan's voice was awful at the Hop Farm festival last year - let's hope he's turned things around. If you haven't managed to get tickets to see Dylan, head to Backstage on Wednesday 26th for Anna Calvi. She's pretty with a smoky voice and catchy songs - what more can you ask for?
