Munich. According to a study by navigation device manufacturer TomTom, Munich ranked number 28 among European cities and number 1 among German cities for the amount of traffic jams it experiences.
At the forefront in Europe is the Belgian capital Brussels: here, the traffic jams go up to 38 percent of major roads in a working day. 2nd and 3rd places are occupied by Warsaw and Wroclaw, followed by London and Edinburgh in 4th and 5th.
The study took into account only cities with at least half a million inhabitants. The criteria for slow-moving traffic was when a driver could only drive at less than 70 percent of the allowed speed limit.
