600 students and teachers run for charity

Penzberg. Roughly 570 students and 35 teachers of a secondary school in Penzberg participated in a charity run.
The second charity run since 2008 took place at the Nonnenwald stadium in Penzberg. Two-thirds of the money will be used towards projects for the secondary school in Penzberg, the remaining money will be donated to the relief project in Araruna in Brazil called "projects for poor people".
Each lap grants the respective runner an amount of money, which was agreed on beforehand with the sponsor. By the afternoon the pupils and teachers finished 3242 laps according to sports teacher Ferdinand Klingelhöfer.
The exact value in Euro is not yet known but it is estimated to be about 10.000 Euro.
